Our client produces modular walls, partition systems, and privacy pods for offices. The company has offices in Belgium and the US and caters to a wide base of corporate clients.
Its mission is to “accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable building materials." The founder built the company on a philosophy of sustainability. He said, “I never want my kids to say to me, ‘Dad, you knew all this was happening. What did you do about it?’”
Traditional catalogue-based selling carries a lot of friction and ambiguity around pricing. It’s time-consuming and often requires buyers to contact sellers for quotes. Our client wanted to challenge this approach.
It envisioned a web-based design tool that would offer a seamless entry point to its products without needing immediate sign-up. This would reduce engagement barriers while creating a natural conversion pathway where users could experiment freely and see pricing before requesting more information.
We were asked to build an interactive tool that customers could use to plan their office layout using different materials and products. It would provide users with a project price without requiring them to sign in.
Design tool for prospective customers to visualise spaces with our client’s products.
Engagement booster that demonstrates value before purchase commitment.
Sales enabler providing immediate pricing based on product type and quantity selection.
The client envisioned the tool as providing an intuitive, hands-on way for potential customers to explore their products without initial commitment.
Sigli mapped out a system where anonymous users could design and save floor plans without immediate registration. It also preserved their work if they created an account at a later stage. The client’s unique business requirements demanded significant expertise. Implementing a highly specialised drawing tool on the front end using TypeScript was one example. Despite the project’s inherent complexity, a tailored approach that incorporated specialist skills ultimately provided our client with exactly the user experience that was asked for.

Sigli used the scrum methodology. A product owner (PO) ensured strong collaboration between all team members and communicated with the client. Daily meetings, sprint planning and retrospectives meant tasks were always completed on time and to a high standard of quality.
Communication was via regular virtual meetings, with email and messaging apps as “always on” channels.
Our developers successfully implemented features like measurement controls, intelligent wall snapping, and manipulation tools that would have simply been impossible with pre-built solutions.
The floor plan application was launched on schedule. All requested functionality — including anonymous design, seamless user registration, interactive floor plan manipulation, and automated cost calculation — worked as expected.
Here were the key project outcomes:
Full implementation of a complex web application with seamless user experience.
Successful adoption of the solution by its target audience.
A streamlined sales process with higher revenues.
Reduction in rep time spent on initial consultations and basic product education.
Greater consistency in quotations due to the elimination of error-prone calculations.
Sigli spent a lot of time understanding our needs before putting together a detailed design for a construction planning tool called Voltage. The team completed all development work to schedule and we couldn’t be happier with the app, which has proven popular with our client base.
